In Maastricht ..

I'm finally here!!!!!!!!!!!!.. I arrived yesterday around 12.. everything was very well organized and I didn't have to deal with any obstacles.. I love The Netherlands, people here are incredibly friendly and opened and Maastricht is so beautiful.. I just need to get a second-hand bicycle as soon as possible, otherwise I won't be able to get to school on time :D I'm sharing room with one lady from Bulgaria. She is 37 years old and came to Maastricht as a postgraduate exchange student. She is nice :) we don't have neighbours yet, but I hope they will arrive soon. Would be more fun :) hopefully somebody in my age ;)

here is the pic of my little corner ;)

HAHAHA ...

Let’s go out to eat!

One expatriate’s view of life in the Dutch kitchen - don’t take it too seriously

When you decide to go out to dinner in Holland...
Do
try some of the local delicacies, but don’t expect anything to be very spicy. The Dutch East India company bought and transported spices for centuries, but apparently never brought them to Holland. In fact, garlic is used more often here for repelling vampires than it is in Dutch cooking.
Don’t expect Italian restaurants in Amsterdam to serve food that tastes Italian. If you look in the kitchen in most of these places, you’ll find a bunch of Turkish guys trying to make Italian food taste like Dutch food. This procedure will include putting large chunks of carrots in your marinara sauce. In Holland, carrots are also a spice, apparently. I’ve been to at least fifteen Italian restaurants in Amsterdam, and have only found one where the food was prepared by Italians. I won’t tell you where it is, though, as they are probably doing something illegal.
Do expect potatoes to be served with anything you order anywhere. Even in the “Italian” places. I’ve ordered spaghetti bolognaise on more than one occasion, and had it served to me with a side of potatoes. I’ve even had a dinner that included large boiled potatoes as part of the entrecōte, and it came with a side of french fries! Did i mention the Dutch like potatoes? They do.
Don’t expect to find a spicy salad dressing anywhere near a Dutch restaurant. The Dutch have four basic salad dressings: mayonnaise, mayonnaise with water, mayonnaise with little flavorless flecks in it, and mayonnaise. Even Dutch pepper is almost without flavor. They generally use white pepper, which is very finely ground, and tastes like sawdust. I believe it’s made from small pieces of plywood, but don't quote me.

Confusion ..

The ones who know me real know that I cry a lot.. it is my way to set free sad thoughts.. I think that tears are beautiful.. they show our emotions.. they show that we really do care.. I could never say anyone that her/his crying disgusts me.. people who say smth like that are weak inside their selves or they are just evil.. in a week I will be in Maastricht and I feel that confusion has overpowered my mind.. it is a mix from fear and excitement.. I know that a lot of people envy my spirit to make my dreams come true.. but at the moment I would like to sit in a corner and cry all this confusion out of me.. it is irritating and disturbs me to realize how lucky I really am..

Kiss in the rain..

Have u ever been kissed in the rain.. I haven't.. it's one of my dreams.. since I was 10 or smth.. haha.. it's a dream which seems to be very easy to satisfy.. but it's not.. for me it is special.. I want somebody very special to kiss me this way.. spontaneously.. imagine!.. u are freshly in love.. u walk holding each other's hands.. with this silly shy look on ur face.. butterflies in ur stomach.. life is full of colours.. it feels like it can't get any better.. and.. suddenly it starts to rain.. heavily.. there is no point to run to find a shelter.. he stops.. he looks into ur eyes.. puts his hands around u and kisses u.. just like that.. it surprises u.. and it feels just perfect :)
jep.. I'm a dreamer..
